Well I had a fantastic weekend. Drove to Ulverston on Friday and stayed at the Premier Inn, then on Saturday morning went to The Range at Barrow-in-Furness where I met some amazing people. I love my job.
I then had an interesting journey going through Windermere, the Kirkstone Pass and through Ullswater before spending the night at my favourite BnB at Carlisle.
Sunday - after my full English breakfast of course- was spent at The Range in Carlisle. Again met some lovely people and in particular had a chat with a young lady called Evie who had just celebrated her 7th birthday and took a real interest in my demos.

Fantastic new collections for Spring
Using the new collections from DoCrafts - Freshly Cut Flowers, Moroccan Haze and the Moon Gazer mini die - just love the new designs and can get so much out of the collection. They also mix and match really well.

Triple Embossing with Gorjuss Stamps
Really love these new stamps and making pieces of art.
The samples below (Image 1 & 2) use Silver embossing powder built up in layers and then stamped into. The base of this was a piece of scrap wood. I have then covered a small canvas with black acrylic paint and stamped some of the fish designs on with the silver powder. I attached the two using a hot glue gun and then will use a small easel to display this.
Image 3/4 - using the same technique on a piece of greyboard (recovered from the packs which the blank cards come in) but this time using the copper powder. Then mounted into a small silver shadow box - excellent as a small gift.

Back in business - Sealife Dies from XCut Docrafts
Well it has been far too long since I last added anything to here so my mission for the next few weeks is to get things brought up to speed.
It has been a hectic year with a few hiccups along the way but onwards and upwards as the saying goes.
This might be out of sync but will try to update and give credit to those who have made things possible and fun along the way.

This started out as a white plastic frame from a "pound"shop. It was covered in black gesso and then using a purple "Treasured Gold" gilding was highlighted some parts of the frame.
The image itself was done using Sheena Douglass dies and then these were all coated in black gesso and the same gilding wax was used.
